Put PVDCal on your desktop

Install it and PVDCal gets its own icon and its own window — no address bar, no tabs, one click from the desktop, taskbar or home screen. It is the same application, still running in your browser, so there is nothing to update and nothing to uninstall from your system.

Your browser installs apps from its own menu — the steps for each device are below.

You stay signed in, and your subscription works exactly as it does in a tab.

Step by step

If your browser does not show the button

Every browser hides the command in a slightly different place. Pick yours.

Windows — Chrome or Edge

  1. 1Open pvdcal.geotechlogic.com and sign in.
  2. 2Click the install icon in the address bar (a screen with a downward arrow), or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install PVDCal.
  3. 3Confirm. The icon appears on your desktop and in the Start menu.

Mac — Chrome or Edge

  1. 1Open the site and sign in.
  2. 2Choose Install from the address bar icon, or ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app.
  3. 3The app lands in your Applications folder and Launchpad.

Mac — Safari

  1. 1Open the site and sign in.
  2. 2Choose File → Add to Dock.
  3. 3The icon appears in the Dock and opens PVDCal in its own window.

Android — Chrome

  1. 1Open the site and sign in.
  2. 2Tap Add PVDCal to your desktop above, or open the ⋮ menu and tap Add to Home screen.
  3. 3The icon appears on your home screen.

iPhone or iPad — Safari

  1. 1Open the site in Safari (not Chrome) and sign in.
  2. 2Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  3. 3Tap Add. The icon appears on your home screen.

An internet connection is still needed while you work, because your subscription is checked as you go — see using it on site.
